The Everyman Palace is a beautiful 630-seat Victorian Theatre, which recently celebrated its centenary. The theatre is housed in a listed building steeped in atmosphere and character, with proscenium arch, four beautiful boxes, two large bars, sweet shop, coffee shop etc.
Its programme is an eclectic mix of plays, operas, musicals and concerts. Each Christmas the theatre sells out its five week pantomime. The Everyman Palace specialises in drama and usually stages three in-house productions per year, directed by Patrick Talbot, artistic director of the theatre. In the summer months, it specialises in Irish productions, celebrating the best of Irish playwrights. Some of these productions have subsequently gone on tour nationally, to excellent reviews.
