Former picture theatre which has been used as a venue for live music and club nights in a few phases since the 1970s.
Most recently it reopened 14 February 2026 under the direction of local promoters The Good Room.

History:
The Savoy opened in 1932 as a cinema until the 70s when it became a live music venue with the likes of Rory Gallagher, Taste, Bee Gees, Rolling Stones, Run DMC and more playing in the early years until it became an arcade, then a venue and night club into the turn of the millennium until it closed in 2016.
In the latter years (2000 – 2016) the live acts the Savoy hosted included, Jape, Mastadon, Wu-Tang Clan, 2ManyDjs, Morrissey, Primal Scream, Biffy Clyro, Super Furry Animals, Lisa Hannigan, MGMT, Wolf Alice, Paul Van Dyk, The Smiths, Shane McGowan, JJ72, The Thrills, BellX1 and more, with club nights hosting Duke Dumont, Route 94, Ejeca, Green Velvet and Kerri Chandler.
